While exercise remains a poor strategy for weight loss, especially by itself, it is an essential supplement to maximizing weight loss, reversing obesity related damage, and maintain the weight loss. In fact, research does support the notion that a strong exercise habit can determine who keeps the weight off after the diet ends!
